Folkloric Festival Schagen

From July 8th till July 14, 2013

In July 2013 “SIFF”, the Foundation International Folkloric Festival Schagen will organise its 12^th Folkloric Festival in Schagen.

The audience can encounter other cultures and traditions through dance and music during the afternoon and evening performances. Around 200 folkloric dancers from different countries from all over the world will visit Schagen this week. Together with the Westfryasian Dancegroup and the children’s dancegroup from Schagen it will be again a huge spectacle.

The festival has got international regard in the world of dance and music. During the last ten festivals Schagen was visited by more than 45 groups from many countries from all parts of the world. From outside Europe we’ve received groups from Australia, India, China, America, Canada, Kalmukkia, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Chile, Kazakstan and European groups from Austria, Poland, Czech republic, Estonia, Lithuania Spain, Germany, Italy, Turkey, France, Macedonia, Greece, Bosnia, Switzerland and Russian republics.
